Tesla has opened four Supercharger sites in California that list CCS1 connectors alongside SAE J3400 (NACS) connectors, so drivers of non-Tesla vehicles with CCS1 ports can plug in directly, without an adapter. The U.S. Department of Energy's Alternative Fuels Data Center (AFDC) shows all four as open and public. The biggest is Bixby Village Plaza in Long Beach, with 31 DC fast ports. Grand Plaza in San Marcos and Almarida Place in Campbell have 24 ports each, and San Ramon Square in San Ramon has 20. AFDC lists Sept. 25, 2026, as the opening date for the Long Beach and San Marcos sites and Oct. 2, 2026, for Campbell and San Ramon.
For every site, AFDC lists two connector types: J1772COMBO, the station locator's name for CCS1, and TESLA, its label for SAE J3400. Each DC fast port carries both. The community-run supercharge.info database lists all four as V4 sites with "multi" plugs, meaning both NACS and CCS1 on every stall. At Long Beach, for example, it counts 31 NACS, 31 CCS1 and 31 multi plugs, and it marks the site as open to other EVs.
supercharge.info, a third-party tracker rather than a Tesla source, lists 28 open California Supercharger sites with CCS1 plugs out of 693 open sites in the state. Ten of those 28 opened between June 23 and Sept. 4, 2026, in places including Malibu, Temecula, Ontario, Corona and Oxnard.
The four sites
Ports, opening dates, power and per-kWh rates below come from AFDC, which last confirmed all four listings on Oct. 13, 2026. AFDC lists the power for each connector at each port.
| Site | Address | DC fast ports | Opened | Power per connector | Listed rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bixby Village Plaza, Long Beach | 5900 Bixby Village Dr | 31 | Sept. 25, 2026 | 325 kW | $0.85/kWh |
| Grand Plaza, San Marcos | 101-197 S Las Posas Rd | 24 | Sept. 25, 2026 | 325 kW | $0.60/kWh |
| Almarida Place, Campbell | 501 E Hamilton Ave | 24 | Oct. 2, 2026 | 500 kW | $0.69/kWh |
| San Ramon Square, San Ramon | 2205 San Ramon Valley Blvd | 20 | Oct. 2, 2026 | 325 kW | $0.62/kWh |
Site details
Long Beach. AFDC lists Bixby Village Plaza as a parking-lot site. It has the most ports of the four and the highest listed rate.
San Marcos. Grand Plaza is in a shopping center on S Las Posas Rd. Its listed rate is the lowest of the four.
Campbell. Almarida Place is also in a shopping center, on E Hamilton Ave. It is the only one of the four listed at 500 kW per connector; the other three are listed at 325 kW.
San Ramon. San Ramon Square, a shopping-center site on San Ramon Valley Blvd, has the fewest ports of the four.
AFDC lists all four sites as open 24 hours daily and accepting American Express, Discover, debit, Mastercard and Visa cards.
How they differ from older sites nearby
Each of the four cities already had Supercharger sites, and supercharge.info lists none of the open ones with CCS1 plugs. In Long Beach, the tracker shows three older sites, all with V3 stalls and NACS plugs only: 20 stalls on Pacific Coast Hwy (opened 2022), eight on Long Beach Blvd (2023) and 12 on E Anaheim St (2025). In San Marcos, it lists a 20-stall V3 site on Grand Ave that opened in 2021. Campbell and San Ramon already had V4 sites, but the tracker lists them with NACS plugs only: 16 stalls at Kirkwood Plaza on W Campbell Ave in Campbell, and 20 stalls on Camino Ramon and 12 on San Ramon Valley Blvd in San Ramon.
What It Means for Drivers
Drivers of CCS1-equipped vehicles from other automakers can now plug in without an adapter at these four Tesla sites. In each of the four cities, the tracker lists CCS1 plugs only at the new address, so a CCS1 driver should head to Bixby Village Dr in Long Beach, S Las Posas Rd in San Marcos, E Hamilton Ave in Campbell or 2205 San Ramon Valley Blvd in San Ramon rather than to the older Supercharger sites in the same city. Tesla drivers and other J3400-equipped vehicles can use the same stalls.
To find the sites in the AFDC station locator, filter by the J1772COMBO connector type. The rates in the table are AFDC listings, not a price guarantee.
